For Sale or For Rent

Today I saw a "For Rent” sign in the front yard of a house in my neighborhood. It got me thinking about the difference between renting a house and buying one.

I have been both a renter and an owner. I Lived in a rented house for a few years and now am currently buying one. As a renter you pay rent in order to reside at "a" residence. As a homeowner you pay a mortgage to reside in "yours". Difference is, you pay for something that's not yours as a renter, and you pay for what is yours as a buyer.

Regardless of your status there is a price you pay. The Bible tells us that we are the temple of the Holy Ghost. Therefore it says that God lives inside us. He has already paid the price to reside in us on Calvary. I wonder if he is a BUYER or just a RENTER in your heart

The other difference between a renter and a buyer is the fact that a renter pays a price, yet is unable to make the changes to the house that he feels are necessary for his comfort. A homeowner is able to change anything he wants both on the INSIDE and on the OUTSIDE. As true Apostolic Christian's we need to let Jesus do the changes He feels are necessary in our lives in order for His spirit to dwell in us.

Remember, we are His home. So I ask you again... Is Jesus a RENTER or an OWNER?
